The Plan

This is the front window off the porch in the living room. I am so excited about all the natural light. It will be even brighter once we take down the awning that is over the porch.
We are planning on vaulting the ceiling, refinishing the hard woods,  and taking down the wall opposite the window. The kitchen is on the other side.

The big living room wall that will come down.

My beautiful kitchen! It will be gutted, and the wall that the stove and refrigerator are on will be taken down so you can get to the dining room.  This ceiling will also be vaulted. The wall directly across from the sink is the big living room wall that is coming down. The goal is for everything to be nice and open. We will be adding hardwood and matching it to the living room.

This is the sunroom off of the fireplace room (below). It has 5 great windows  and an outside entrance.  Because it is an addition, I am  hoping that the wall attached to the house is brick behind the paneling.  All the paneling is coming down, new sheet rock going up and hardwood floors going down.

This is the fireplace at the end of the kitchen. I think we will use this room as the dining room so we can fit the 9 foot farm table. Besides,  I have always wanted a dining room with a fireplace.  All the paneling will come down, and the fireplace will just be painted for now, and hardwoods going down.

Imagine standing in front of the fireplace and looking back at the kitchen.  It really is a great space. The big white wall with the cool radio/ intercom ( my kids really want to keep this ) is coming down.

I hope that gives you a little better idea of the scope of this project.
The dumpster has been delivered, and we are all set to go. There has been a slight hic-up in getting the closing papers to print..I know, it sounds stupid, but its the truth! They said it could be today, or a week from today.... I am praying for today!
